Between FY2000-2011, the inflation-adjusted budget for Fairfax County Public Schools increased $343 million more than needed to keep up with enrollment and inflation.  The school inflation-adjusted school budget increased more than twice as fast as enrollment (32 percent vs. 13 percent).  Most of the increase is spent on employee benefits.
